A tired weekend

I went to my relative house on Friday night to help them clearing their house. Their house is so far away from the MRT station, i walked in the middle of nowhere and people giving me confusing direction... Finally i reached their house after nearly 45 minutes walk, and their house is "hidden" from the lane and alley partitioning by metal board. The area is going to rebuild and residents are requested to move out by 31th of January. They are the last one who is moving out.
We send some stuffs to their son's house then we clear some stuffs and sleep. On Saturday morning, i waked up at 8 o'clock and helped them clearing, packing and shifting their belongings. They have been staying their for more than 30 years, lots of things need to be thrown and given away. All those papers, metal, aluminium and bronze were sold and the money was used to buy our lunch and dinner, of course there was much more extra money left. We were waiting for the lorry to come and we've waited for almost 8 hours..., too many people are shifting their house... Some of their stuffs need to be put at Longtan and some need to put at their son house at Xindian. They will be staying with their son for few years until the new house is ready... But then already too many things in those two places, so they have to throw many things, and i get something they don't want such as cooking set, some jackets and food...
The place have been stayed for so many years leaving so many sweet memories. So many memorable pictures, love letters, books, souvenirs were found at that time...
They sent me back to dorm around 1130pm at night.., so long didn't worked continuously for long hours since secondary time, so tired and have to clean the stuffs i brought back as they were covered by dust... Thank you!
p/s: actually i was pissed off in the morning as i found that my mobile credit all gone..., i miss dialed to my father when i was sleeping and his phone was in voice mail, so i've recorded the voice message for 18 minutes till my credit finished... For ages i've asked him to cancelled the voice mail, it wastes people money who is not able to contact him, and now his son is losing a lot of money for that... but now i "assume" paying for what i get for those stuffs... (-.-)

Yang Ming Shan

Today has a nice weather, sunny and not cold...
Miranda, Emily, Prafulla and i went to Yang Ming Shan in the afternoon. I felt dizzy along the way to the mountain, we stopped at Cingtiankeng...

There have a nice scenery of green mountain with mist. People are walking along the trail together with their friends and family. We stopped by and sat at an open area. We were enjoying our food and looking at the kids playing with their parents and grandparents.

Suddenly there was a cute dog running everywhere to everyone and played with them... It can get along well with anyone, we were wondering who is the owner of the dog. Then it ran to us and played with us. We were holding and pampering it while taking photos with it. It was so adorable that Prafulla who is usually scare of dogs also wants to take pictures with it. It was licking Miranda's face while she was taking the pictures... Haha, so funny, the owner was calling it to come back but it was enjoying playing with everyone. :p

We walked up the trail for a while after finishing the food and playing with the dogs. We then realised that we have to get to the bus stop to catch the last bus by 5.30p.m., so we have to leave the place and everyone is leaving too.

I slept on the bus on the way back. Actually the bus stopped near the Shilin night market, i was not well, so didn't go to the night market. It was a nice day for me, thanks to everyone... :)

Finished assignment... now winter holiday...

Yesterday was burning the midnight oil to finish the 3 assignments...
I was chatting and the progression was very slow at the beginning...
Actually thank to Prafulla explaining the Aurora paper to me, even though we are not very understood, but at least the notes you have made really helps me to finish the paper commenting, not to say i follow the paper... Your friend Sanjiv keep on asking me everyday about the paper, i haven't read and his appearance like telling me that i would be in trouble if not yet read the paper...:s Asked him to write whatever he understand, he wrote it but still want to know the true story... Why bother to know...?? So recently when i saw him in the kitchen or lobby while watching my TV programme, i'll be pretending not seeing him and say to myself "Don't come to talk to me, don't come to talk to me...please..." Ok, finally of course he is coming over and say, "Hi Pak, do you....." Ah.., why asking me.., ask other people ma... If other people also cannot give you the answer, that means they haven't read the paper yet, so you should "sik do" la.... Anyway, i'll try to be nice and smile while talking to him.., giving him short answer so that he have nothing to ask back... So mean...
So finally i get the print out and submited to the office... Can't imagine i'm the first one to submit.., Prafulla also finished but she didn't print out yet. We were in IMB for the whole night yesterday; she was in the lab and i was in the computer room.
Morning go back to sleep and came to see Dr. Wu in the afternoon... She assigned me to a senior in the lab, and he should be taking care of me during my lab rotation... Baby-sitting for a new student is not a good job.., anyway i'll try to catch-up everything... Long time didn't do lab jor...
So now finished everything already.., so can focus on lab rotation...
Happy holiday!

Happy New Year 2007

First of all, Happy birdday to Chee How for yesterday...

Initially thought of viewing the fireworks of Taipei 101 at the roof top at midnight instead of going out for countdown, because it would be boring and meaningless going out alone just for that...
Suddenly Shobit invited me to go out with him, so five of us, Shobhit (TIGP student from India), Analyn (my MCB senior from Philipines), Teik Hui (a Malaysian friend), Miranda (Shobhit's friend) and i went out to Taipei 101...., yeah!
This was taken by Shobhit in front of the dorm before departing. From left Teik Hui, myself, Sundara, Miranda, Abi, Abi's hubby and Analyn. The next one near Taipei 101, see the crowd behind??

There are crowd of almost 500,000 people around the area to see the fire works show for 188 seconds... We took some photos while searching for strategic place to sit down... Everywhere are occupied and blocked by either trees or buildings... finally we sat down near the stalls...
There are taken is before the fireworks, means last year la...

The fireworks is very beautiful, can't imagine the fireworks presentation from the world's tallest building can be that spectacular. The night was not cold, but i felt a bit hot instead...
This is the video clip of the firework show, ops, the file 537Mb, don know how to upload... :( , so see these gif pictures la.., my coursemate Yu-Hsin forwarded to me.., may be you have to click on individual pictures to see the fireworks effect... :p

Sony must have sponsor a lot in advertising on the world's tallest building...
Finally someone done this, so click on it and enjoy the show!!!

http://myweb.hinet.net/home12/dvworld/video/2007firework.wmv
尤其那特寫的部份,煙火爆炸、火光四射,那細膩的表現,讓人嘆為觀止!

These are the pictures taken after the fireworks...

The scarf i wear is just for fashion instead of preventing from cold... We took photos and play around after countdown...

We met with Sriram (next to me) and Leonardo (left), another TIGP student from India and Costa Rica, respectively, during the photo session.

Everywhere is crowded, we can't even move into the MRT station, so we walked along the road for nearly an hour together with the crowds... Finally we arrived dormitory at 3.30 a.m.

Happy New Year 2007 to everyone!
May we get what we want in this new year! Work hard and strive for the best!
