27th February 2008
Thursday, February 28, 2008
Today our 3517 Training Curriculum Coordinator showed us her cooking talent serving us with lots of dished in her house. Wow, a simple yet delicious meal.
We stayed for chatting in her house from lunch hour till 5 o'clock. Didn't have much time to do experiment though... Later at night have to rush out to watch movies with my friends.
Bangkok Love Story
the love story between Stone and Cloud...
Stone is so cute, he is willing to do everything for Cloud, however Cloud was not dare to face his feeling and admit his love too...
The storyline was a bit slow, however there are some funny parts as well. Apart from those best scenes shown in the trailers, the storyline was very simple and lack of logical sense in some part.. Sad ending again...~~
Why most of the GLBT movies always have sad ending.., they cannot be together even after so many years... I like the soundtrack of the movie, it was so sentimental and touching!

Trip to Yangmingshan
Saturday, February 23, 2008
I went to watch "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" at Ximending 西門町 with Aaron, Gang and Braces in the morning. After that, Aaron and i rushed to Jiantan 劍潭 MRT station to meet Seok Kooi, Frank and Shenq Huey. We have planned to go to Yangmingshan 陽明山together. We went there by bus after having our lunch nearby.
They provide free massage and ginger tea for all the tourist waiting for touring bus at Yangmingshan terminal station. After getting the advice from the staff, we took about 15 minutes walk heading to the flower blooming spot. Due to the cold weather last week, not much flowers bloom, however we managed to see some mountain sakura 山櫻花 along the way.
The theme decoration for the Spring and Bloom Season at Yangmingshan was very beautiful.
Mountain sakura 山櫻花.
陽明山花季2008.
Act cute.., oh i looked fat... >.<
The flower clock 花鐘.
Some snapshots nearby.
It was drizzling the whole day, and i got my shoes wet throughly along the way. We were only managed to go for one destination due to time constraint, we should have come earlier next time. We took the last bus back to town heading to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall 國立國父紀念館 for CNY Lantern Festival. Aaron left us along the way going for his harmonica practise at TTU leaving three of us having dinner at Aunt Su's Pizza House.
(Actually is Shakey's Pizza lah..., may be (merely my speculation okay, don't sue me please...) "Aunt Su" took over it last time, just like Domino's Pizza took over all the outlets in Malaysia... ;p)
Those lanterns there were very beautiful comparable to last year one which was held at National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall 國立台灣民主紀念館 (formerly known as Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall 國立中正紀念堂).
We were so disappointed for not be able to find the lanterns set up by Malaysian Tourism Board at International Lantern Area. May be all had been dismantled and removed. Those lanterns in this exhibition area were elegant and beautiful in the previous year.

Malaysia Elections 2008
Thank you Kean Jin for the song, it really cheer me up after working in the lab.
This modified song "Sha La La La La" done by Allan and Indi is really funny .
Sit back and enjoy the song in conjunction with Malaysian 12th General Election which will be held on 8th of March 2008, which is also International Women's Day, and the birthday of Frank and Cheah Wei.
ELECTIONS Blah blah blah
Dear Malaysians, please vote wisely for our future... for our past generation, this generation and the next generation!!
Deny BN 2/3 majority and practice the real democracy.
Just change! Berubah! 改变!
Remember, we are always a secular country with mulriracial people, do not manipulate by those idiot politicians who are intent to create harmony or unity tensions among us.
Rukun Negara 国家原则 (National Principles):
1. Kepercayaan kepada Tuhan 信奉上苍 (Believe in God)
2. Kesetiaan kepada Raja dan Negara 忠于君国 (Loyalty to King and Country)
3. Keluhuran Perlembagaan 维护宪法 (Upholding the Constitution)
4. Kedaulatan Undang-Undang 遵崇法治 (Rule of Law)
5. Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan 培养德行 (Good Behavior and Morality)
I am so happy that our cilipadi Fong Po Kuan has made her decision back to continue to represent the voices of Batu Gajah voters and all Malaysians in Parliament!!! Let the rocket shoot the balance..!!

Happy B.-P. Day 2008!
Friday, February 22, 2008
Today is B.-P. day, 22nd of February...
It reminds of what kind of life we had gone through during the high school period besides studying...: scouting life, which includes camping, marching, pioneering, handicrafts, sports, performing, dancing, singing, campfire, playing, truanting, loitering, sleeping, pretending, acting, ignoring, fighting and etc...
Not forgetting the patrol corner and patrol system, these two terms might be new to those in school, but i can still remember it very well...
It's been nice to read something refreshing, at least can improve my English language proficiency as well.
Kindly follow the link below to download the pdf file regarding what B.-P spoke on 31st July 1922 for the World Organization of the Scout Movement’s inaugural conference.
Education in Love in Place of Fear
We can figure out exactly how the Scouting Movement was found 101 years ago (in 1907), reading on our own rather than listening or believing those "myths or legends" told by our ancestor seniors (...and I was one of them...;p).
Nowadays most of the scouting activities had already "evolved" and lost their essential Scouting values or spirits. So i doubt that "Scouting Spirit Forever" which we used to yell N years ago...
Oh ya, i will be wearing our 39th Kinta troop singlet on this day also, this is what Boon Tiong suggested me years ago, but don't know whether he is still doing it or not...
Please do not invite me to any of the troop activities as you know i am not able to make it, thank you for the invitation (through SMS) anyway. I totally have no idea who are the boys or seniors now... Haha! Thanks for remembering me.
Suggestion on celebrating this day, may be you all can seek advices from Scoutmaster asking the school to allow all the scouts to wear scout uniform instead of school uniform during school hours on 22/2 every year. That would be much more meaningful, as we could saw some scouts and guides wearing uniform on this days N years ago.
Dedication. Loyalty. Merit.
To all my friends, wish you best of heath, wealth, wisdom, luck and happiness all year round! Happy belated CNY!
Take care and stay in touch.

Longshan Temple 龍山寺 龙山寺
Monday, February 11, 2008
Yesterday afternoon, Seok Kooi and i went to Longshan Temple 龍山寺 龙山寺 for praying. It was so crowded, however we still managed to took some pictures and did some spiritual blessing.
We shopped for some winter clothings at the streets nearby. Goods sold in Huaxi night market 華西街夜市 are cheap and bargainable, better than Shilin night market 士林夜市. There will be very cold in these two days, better keep warm...
We have to start working tomorrow, now finding the "abandoned" track around the bushes (due to holidays) to get back to the right path and right pace. =.=

CNY Trip to Middle of Taiwan
Saturday, February 09, 2008
This year CNY, i am not alone... i went to my relative's mother (nanny) house in Changhua 彰化 on Tuesday night.
Aunty and uncle went to picked me at Changhua railway station and brought me to have famous Changhua meat ball 彰化肉圓. i had another bowl of soup 貢丸湯. The meat ball is really nice, i changed my bad impact on this dish after i tried once in Taipei.
Nanny stays in the hostel of National Changhua University of Education 彰化師範大學. This is nanny's house and the surrounding area.
A big thank you to my friend in Changhua QZ for bringing me touring around Changhua on the next day afternoon. Changhua is a beautiful historical city with small population. There are a lot of historical buildings around the city including temples and old colonial buildings. The weather in Changhua is very nice, no raining and not so cold compared to Taipei.
We went to Ba-gua Mountain 八卦山. The huge buddha statue is the landmark of that tourist spot.
A creative design, you can change the colour of the "flower mural" by changing different flowers on the slots.
After that, we went back to have our own reunion dinner. It was nice to have to opportunity to have reunion dinner oversea with my far relatives, so warm and happy. I got an red packet from Nanny as New year's money 壓歲錢 压岁钱.
On the first day of CNY, we had the dumpling for breakfast. It is the tradition of Nanny's family from China... Ha, actually we made the dumpling together on the night before. We then went to visit cousin's family, an aborigine family in Miaoli 苗栗. The place is very scenic and beautiful, really a good place for stay. They were very friendly and served us with lots of delicious foods. Their friendliness kept us warmed in this very cold weather.
We stopped by some scenic spots for some photograph sessions on the way back. The water dam is very beautiful and it was very cold there.
Sakura.
Tomato farm.
Grape farm.
A very creative scarecrow...hanging the plastic snakes around to scare away the thieves.
Oh ya.., i hung around with QZ again at night at Chnaghua city.
On the second day of CNY, i went to Taichung 台中 to visit Frank and Seok Kooi.
We went to the National Museum of Natural Science together, and watched "Sea Monsters 3D" at the space theatre, but i fall asleep for some moments.
The museum surroundings.
DNA helix.
So many Single-Stranded DNA Binding protein (SSB) around...with some enzymes...
We went to have buffet dinner at Taichung Steak House with Seok Kooi, Frank, his father and sister.
