TIGP Orientation 2007
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
The TIGP Orientation Programme for year 2007 has finished last week. Our MCB programme enrolled 5 students, 2 Malaysians (Seok Kooi, my BSc coursemate and Shenq Huey, from UM), 2 Indian (from India not Malaysia), and 1 from Jordan. Another 2 students from Vietnam and Bangladesh decided not to come during the last minute.
It was fun having the opportunity interacting with new students, some are shy, some are arrogant and some are friendly. We have to learn everthing and try to adapt ourselves in the new environment. We have to plan everything accordingly especially in managing our money spending. I was struggling a lot last time and "restricting" myself from spending for unnecessary items in order to save more money to pay for the tuition and dorm fee.
This year students are lucky as their stipends are exempted from tax (when can we get back our tax refund ah..?) and do not have to pay their dormitory deposit and rental during the first stay. So their financial would not be too tight compare to my situation last year. We even have to wait for the first stipend to pay for the tuition fee...
Just enjoy the life and study smart. Cannot imagine suddenly i am a senior already... Ha...!
